Wednesday is here again, which means a new week for new comics (CLANKILLERS, EUTHANAUTS & RAT QUEENS). If you are like me, you may still have a stack of comics that haven’t been read from last week, but how can anyone fault us for reading. Here is a list of books I will be picking up at my local comic shop.
CLANKILLERS #1 – $3.99
Aftershock Comics – Sean Lewis, Antonio Fuso, Stefano Simeone, Dave Sharpe, Juan Doe
The kick-off of a NEW SERIES!
Like the demented stepchild of Game of Thrones, Braveheart and Mark Millar’s Kick Ass, Sean Lewis (BETROTHED, The Few, Coyotes) brings readers into an ancient Ireland filled with clans, mystics, warriors and monsters of mythic proportion!
Finola has a problem-her father is losing his mind. All the old king cares about is power…and Finola thinks power is stupid. Finola thinks her vicious older sisters are stupid. Finola thinks the royal court is stupid, and above all she thinks the clans across the country are stupid. So she makes a plan with her good friend Cillian: Let’s kill all the clans. And then, we go for dad.
Filled with countless twist and turns, CLANKILLERS promises to be a wild ride!
DEATHBED #6 – $3.99
Vertigo Comics – Joshua Williamson, Riley Rossmo, Ivan Plascencia
This is it. The end of your life. As you lie in your deathbed, staring into the distance, you may wonder how you could have lived your life differently. If you had the chance to do it all again, who would you have told you loved them? What could you have apologized for? How would you like it to end? Antonio Luna has taken Valentine Richards on the adventure of a lifetime-Luna’s, to be specific-and now Luna must decide if his final act on this plane of existence will be revenge, or if he wants to give his life a happy ending.
EUTHANAUTS #1 – $3.99
Black Crown Publishing – Tini Howard, Nick Robles, Aditya Bidikar
Death is like outer space-a seemingly unknowable, terrifying blackness that yields beautiful discoveries and truths-if only you’ve got the right kind of rocketship. Thalia Rosewood has had a lifelong obsession with death, keeping her from living her life to the fullest. Mercy Wolfe has a brain tumor the size of a billiard ball, and a need for a new recruit before her next journey begins. Inigo Hanover is a reluctant tether to the world beyond, seeking to continue a cycle that exploration would halt. Go toward the light. Then go beyond. EUTHANAUTS.
MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS #29 – $3.99
BOOM! Studios – Kyle Higgins, Ryan Ferrier, Daniele Di Nicuolo, Simona Di Gianfelice, Watlers Baiamonte, Bachan, Jeremy Lawson, Jim Campbell, Ed Dukeshire,Jamal Campbell
The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and their allies prepare their final counterattack against Drakkon, as a new ally makes it through their world and Zordon makes a last-ditch call for help.
RAT QUEENS: NEON STATIC #1 – $3.99
Image Comics – Kurtis J. Wiebe, William Kirkby, Ryan Ferrier
Strap yourselves in for a ride to an alternate and futuristic world, where the Rat Queens take to the neon streets of Palisade as an elite team of shadow operatives. An anonymous fiend creeps through the dark web, stealing identities and blackmailing innocent civilians for cold, hard Goldyen-and only the Queens can stop him!
