Masters of the Universe Reboot Targeting Director McG

Director McG (Terminator Salvation, We Are Marshall, 3 Days to Kill) has been in negotiations with Sony to helm the long planned reboot of Masters of The Universe – aka that Live-Action He-Man movie that keeps getting delayed.

McG would rewrite the latest draft of Masters of The Universe which was penned by Alex Litvak and Mike Finch (Predators). Previous to McG’s involvement, the project was planned to be helmed by G.I. Joe: Retaliation director Jon M. Chu. Also Jeff Wadlow (Kick-Ass 2) at one point in time completed his own screenplay but that didn’t pan out. Then Terry Rossio (Pirates of the Caribbean ) wrote a draft and Christopher Yost (Thor: Ragnarok) did too at one point. Is McG the man for the job? I still fondly recall the days when he was directing 90’s music videos like “Pretty Fly for a White Guy”.
