Gorilla City & Grodd to Hit The Flash Season 3 in Two-Part Episode

From the CW Network, DC Comics and executive producer Greg Berlanti  (Arrow), The Flash stars Grant Gustin, Jesse L. Martin, Candice Patton, Keiynan Lonsdale, Rick Cosnett, Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes and Tom Cavanagh. Season three is set for October 4, 2016.

Central City forensic investigator Barry Allen is, always charming and – as a result of a scientific experiment gone awry – now the fastest man alive! He’s The Flash, zigzagging through the action-packed new series from the creative team behind Arrow and based on the supersonic DC Comics character. Barry quickly discovers he’s not the only “metahuman” created by the explosive disaster – and not everyone is using their new powers for good. Now, to protect the innocent, Barry and his close friends who know his secret, race to combat evildoers in one astonishing adventure after another.

Speaking with Collider, producer Andrew Kreisberg revealed that the upcoming third season of The Flash will include not one, BUT TWO, episodes dedicated to the villainous Gorilla Grodd. To make matters even more exciting – Gorilla City will be involved.

“Yes, we’re going to be doing a two-part episode that takes place in Gorilla City,” said Kreisberg.

Fans know that in season 2, Grodd was sent to Earth-2 where audiences caught a glimpse of this ‘Gorilla City’ so it’s not known what the ramifications will be going forward now that Barry Allen has changed EVERYTHING in the second season finale… Maybe Gorilla City is now in Earth 1. Maybe The Flash heads back to Earth 2… Maybe who knows – they can do whatever they want with Flashpoint in season 3, so let’s all just sit back and enjoy the chaos.

The-Flash-Gorilla-City-Grodd-EpisodeIn the comic books, there was a Grodd storyline called Flashpoint: Grodd of War, in which the villain takes over all of Africa. So maybe that will be the case here and we’ll see Gorilla City on Earth 1. Either way – more Grodd is always welcome and two episodes of Grodd is exciting as hell.
