From San Andreas producer Beau Flynn and New Line Cinema, comes the film adaptation of the 1986 oldschool monster arcade romp ‘Rampage’. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has been tapped to star.
Johnson has worked with producer Beau Flynn three times already on projects San Andreas, Hercules and Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. Work on the upcoming Rampage big screen adaptation will commence once Johnson has finished filming Fast & Furious 8, which is set for theatrical release April 14, 2017.
Ryan Engle (Non-Stop) will pen the script and the search is on for a director. The plot hasn’t been revealed yet but the game had a simple premise of three people being transformed into giant monsters (a gorilla, wolf and lizard) as you take control of them to destroy buildings and eat people while trying to avoid death by military.
