NBC has announced that it will be developing a Brides of Dracula TV series from writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (The Town That Dreaded Sundown, Glee) and Greg Berlanti (Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl).
The upcoming television series has been described as ““a sexy reimagining of Dracula as a family drama with a trio of strong, diverse female leads, a show about empowered women and the things they do to maintain wealth, prestige, legacy — and their non-traditional family.”
The team of Berlanti and Aquirre-Sacasa have worked together on the upcoming Archie television series ‘Riverdale’, which will be more in tone with the recent mature line of comics that have a supernatural aspect to them. That series will be headed to the CW network.
