From producers Jenji Kohan (Weeds, Orange is the New Black) Tara Herrmann and showrunners Liz Flahive (Homeland) and Carly Mensch (Orange is the New Black) comes the new Netflix original series G.L.O.W. Starring Alison Brie, the series will drop 10 episodes at an un-announced date.
Alison Brie will headline the upcoming Netflix series G.L.O.W. as Ruth, a struggling actress who unexpectedly finds herself wearing spandex and inside the ring of a professional women’s wrestling league. The series is inspired by the real story of the 1980’s female wrestling promotion G.L.O.W. aka Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. The show will run 10 half-hour long episodes and is being described as “big hair and body slams.”
Check out that opening rap below that the GLOW series ran during the 80’s until it wrapped up in 1990. Amazing.
