Announced today by The CW Seed, a new animated superhero series called Freedom Fighters: The Ray is headed to the network in 2017 and will feature the first gay superhero lead character in all of television. The character (created back in 1973 and featured in the pages of Justice League of America) will be inspired by Grant Morrison’s version in the pages of The Multiversity.
