Wednesday is here again, which means a new week for new comics (BLACKWOOD, MULTIPLE MAN, & REALM). If you are like me, you may still have a stack of comics that haven’t been read from last week, but how can anyone fault us for reading. Here is a list of books I will be picking up at my local comic shop.
BLACKWOOD #2 – $3.99
Dark Horse Comics – Evan Dorkin, Veronica Fish, Andy Fish
After the vicious mausoleum attack by a zombie dean, our student heroes learn the true supernatural origins of Blackwood College, why they were enrolled, and their own potential occult powers. Meanwhile havoc continues at the school as the students are plagued with monster insect attacks and a run-in with a two-headed mummified chimpanzee.
HER INFERNAL DESCENT #3 – $3.99
Aftershock Comics – Lonnie Nadler, Zac Thompson, Kyle Charles, Dee Cunnife, Ryan Ferrier
Lynn and her favorite writer, AGATHA CHRISTIE, venture into surreal halls of modern art. Welcome to hell’s esteemed art gallery! As she descends deeper into the inferno, Lynn’s left to wonder if she’ll ever find her forsaken family or be doomed to the same fate. Including a surprise appearance by one of the 20th century’s most celebrated artists!
MULTIPLE MAN #1 – $3.99
Marvel Comics – Matthew Rosenberg, Andy MacDonald, Tamra Bonvillain, Marcos Martin
A handful of people’s favorite X-Man – Jamie Madrox – was alive for a while. Then he was dead. Now he’s not. But he will be again if he doesn’t kill himself trying to make sure he doesn’t die. It makes sense when you read it. Trust us. In his fight to not die, Jamie has stumbled across a threat even greater than his own death, but fixing it might make it worse. Can he save the world from himself?
On top of all that, the X-Men are mad at him now, and a mysterious new group of foes is after him, too. We can’t tell you who they are, but they’re pretty great.
QUANTUM & WOODY #7 – $3.99
Valiant Entertainment – Eliot Rahal, Francis Portela, Andrew Dalhouse, Dave Sharpe, Ariel Olivetti
“WHAT THE KLANG?” Hey, who the heck invited these guys to HARBINGER WARS 2?
With HARBINGER WARS 2 seizing America, Livewire has rendered the nation’s power grid useless in a last-ditch attempt to shield her psiot allies. The people of Washington D.C. need someone to save them – and so do Quantum and Woody! Now that the high-tech wristbands that keep their atoms stabilized have become nothing more than fashion accessories, the world’s worst superhero team is going where no one has gone before… Into “The Otherverse!”
Image Comics – Seth M. Peck, Jeremy Haun, Nick Filardi, Thomas Mauer
All Johnny Eldritch wants to do is rule the world. Is that too much to ask?
EXTRA PULLS: Kill or Be Killed #20, Sex Criminals #25, The Wicked & The Divine #37, Saga #53, The Sentry #1
