From creators Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie comes the Eisner Award nominated comic series The Wicked + The Divine. Issue 11 hits shelves June 3rd.
The Wicked + The Divine is up for three Eisner awards and it looks like the critical hit will be adapted for the small screen via Universal. Fellow comic creators Matt Fraction and Kelly Sue DeConnick will be spearheading the task of adapting the comic for television which is still early into it’s run at Image with a planned 30-60 issues total. You can check out the synopsis below:
Every ninety years, twelve gods incarnate as humans. They are loved. They are hated. In two years, they are dead. The team behind critical tongue-attractors like “Young Avengers” and “Phonogram” reunite to create a world where gods are the ultimate pop stars and pop stars are the ultimate gods. But remember: just because you’re immortal, doesn’t mean you’re going to live forever.
