From Amazon Studios, Sony Pictures and producers Ben Edlund and Barry Josephson, comes the new live-action TV series The Tick. Starring Peter Serafinowicz in the title role, Griffin Newman and Valorie Curry, the series’ first two episodes will be directed by Wally Pfister. No release date has been announced at this time.
Patrick Warburton played The Tick in Fox’ 2001 short-lived cult classic live-action TV series, which ran for nine episodes before being canned. Ben Edlund, who created The Tick in 1986 for New England Comics is returning once again to write and produce this new series which has landed Peter Serafinowicz in the title role.
Most people may know Serafinowicz from his supporting performance in Guardians of The Galaxy (“What a bunch of A-holes…”) but he played Peter in Shaun of The Dead, was in the British sitcom Hardare (which featured Martin Freeman) and if you haven’t seen Look Around You — then you probably should right now. Great choice Amazon – nailed it.
