Everything, Everything: Great Chemistry Makes This Cheesy Romance Enjoyable (Review)

I just want to go on record and say that I have NOT read the book that this film is based on. That being said, this is not a review that will compare the two. Everything, Everything surprised me. I walked out of the theater with a smile on my face. The movie has plenty of flaws and issues, but the chemistry between Maddy (Amandla Stenberg) and Olly (Nick Robinson) makes it enjoyable. Teen romance movies have a bad track record, so it is nice to see one that’s funny, relatable and not a cardboard cut out. The 5th Wave: Contrived Even by Teen Fiction Standards [Review]

This week I reviewed The 5th Wave because that seemed like the best choice.  After all, I like sci-fi and aliens and movies based on teen fiction often appeals to me because in some ways I am a 14 year old girl at heart.  But I was definitely too old for this film.
