Rampage is Highly Entertaining & Deceptively Well Made (Review)

I don’t really want to admit it, but I wanted to see Rampage since the moment I first heard about it.  Younger Mark LOVED the old Rampage video game and apparently I still harbor some fondness for the franchise because I was excited to see the film.   Weird that it’s another Kaiju movie – is this just a new trend or am I suffering from the Baader-Meinhof effect because I saw Pacific Rim 2?  This one didn’t have giant robots though, so humanity was at a distinct disadvantage. I guess if Charlie Hunnam had been there, maybe it would have been a much shorter movie.  Read more

Joe Manganiello Confirmed as Deathstroke in Upcoming Ben Affleck Batman Flick

From Warner Bros and director Ben Affleck comes the as of yet untitled new Batman movie, which is co-written by Affleck and DC Entertainment President/COO Geoff Johns. The film will star Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman and Joe Manganiello as the villain Deathstroke. The movie will hit theaters likely sometime in 2018.

From director John Lee (Wonder Showzen), producer Judd Apatow, writer Paul Rust (Arrested Development) comes the original Netflix film Pee-wee’s Big Holiday. Starring Paul Reubens (who also co-wrote), Joe Manganiello, Jessica Pohly, Alia Shawkat and Stephanie Beatriz, the film will debut at SXSW and then hit Netflix March 18th.
