The Martian is an upcoming film directed by Ridley Scott (Alien) based on the best-selling novel by Andy Weir. It stars Matt Damon, Kristen Wiig, Donald Glover, Jessica Chastaine, Kate Mara, Jeff Daniels, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Michael Pena.
The upcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s apocalyptic epic The Stand has been announced as an eight-episode mini series for television that will air on the Showtime network, followed by a big-screen feature that will conclude the story from director Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars).
I remember reading an issue here and there when I was a kid about this little Snoopy-looking thing caught up in a battle against rat creatures and interacting with this cool red dragon. That comic was called Bone and now that I’m 30 years old I’ve started reading the story to my two kids who are four and five years old.
From writer Steve Alten comes Meg, a big screen adaptation of the NY Times Best-Selling novel from 1997 about a 60-foot shark aka the Megalodon. WB Pictures is apparently moving forward with the film which is sure to traumatize a new generation of kids from ever hitting the beach.
