Warcraft is the upcoming big screen adaptation of the Blizzard gaming franchise helmed by Moon director Duncan Jones and set for release June 10, 2016 via Universal and Legendary Pictures. It stars Dominic Cooper as King Llane Wrynn, Travis Fimmel as Anduin Lothar, Ben Foster as Medivh, Ben Schnetzer as Khadgar, and Ruth Negga as Lady Taria, and on the side of The Horde is also Clancy Brown as Blackhand, Toby Kebbel as Durotan, Daniel Wu as Gul’Dan, and Paula Patton as Garona.
[Giveaway] From creator Armando Iannucci, comes the Emmy Award Winning powerhouse VEEP. Starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Anna Chlumsky, Tony Hale, Reid Scott and Timothy Simons, season 5 is set to air on HBO April 24th. Season 4 is available to own on Blu-ray/DVD April 18th!
Silicon Valley is a comedy series on HBO from creator Mike Judge (Office Space) about a software startup company called Pied Piper who are put through the trials and tribulations of running a tech business. The series stars Thomas Middleditch, T.J. Miller, Martin Starr, Kumail Nanjiani, Zach Woods, Amanda Crew and Matt Ross. Season 3 is set to air April 24th and season 2 is available to own on Blu-ray/DVD April 18th.
From AMC and showrunners Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould comes the Breaking Bad prequel series Better Call Saul. Starring Bob Odenkirk, Jonathan Banks, Michael McKeen, Rhea Seahorn, Michael Mando and Patrick Fabian, the series just concluded it’s second season. Season three is set to debut in 2017.
The first two games in the hit Batman series, Arkham Asylum and Arkham City are getting remaster and updated for a June release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox1. Read more
From Crowsnest Films, director/writers Trevor Smith, John Kerr, cinematographer Sean Smith and editor Ken Filewych, comes the documentary the smalls: forever is a long time. The film is playing in select theatrical showings across Canada but is scheduled to hit Lethbridge at The Movie Mill for two nights: April 22-23 at 9:30 PM.
The Jungle Book is a film in the style of the classic tragedies in which a grizzled and scarred veteran tries to save his homeland from an invasive species with the capability of destroying the entire jungle he calls home. It is a moral tale, where he is undone by his PTSD, inability to trust and thirst for vengeance. Or, if you’re one of those people who doesn’t (as a rule) automatically root for the bad guy, The Jungle Book is about a boy raised by wolves who is trying to find out where, and how, he belongs. From Warner Bros. Animation, producer Bruce Timm and featuring stars Kevin Conroy as The Dark Knight as well as Mark Hamill reprising his famous role as The Joker comes Batman: The Killing Joke. The animated feature is slated to hit DVD/Blu-ray and digital in late 2016.
The Neon Demon is an upcoming horror film inspired by the legend of serial killer Elizabeth Báthory and directed by Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive, Bronson). It stars Elle Fanning, Christina Hendricks, Jena Malone, Keanu Reeves, Abbey Lee, Bella Heathcote, Desmond Harrington and Karl Glusman. It is set to debut at the 69th Cannes Film Festival.
From director Matthew Vaughn comes the highly anticipated sequel to Kingsman: The Secret Service. Kingsman: The Golden Circle is scheduled for theatrical release June 16, 2017. The film stars Taron Egerton, Mark Strong, Channing Tatum, Halle Berry, Pedro Pascal and Edward Holcroft.
