The director of Scream and A Nightmare on Elm Street, Wes Craven, has passed away at the age of 76 on August 30th after battling brain cancer in recent months. The world has lost one of the best movie directors of all time and the horror scene will never be the same again.
I’m the wrong person to review this. I don’t go to places that employ DJs, partly because I don’t dance but mostly because I don’t like trying to talk over the ambient music of a place. (I love the sound of my own voice way too much for that.) But despite not being able to relate, I found myself liking this movie.

I know that fans all around were distraught when we learned that Hannibal had been cancelled halfway through season three – but that finale ending though? Bryan Fuller’s serial killer series doesn’t need to march onward because it concluded so beautifully that there’s truly no need. The genius of it, is that every season finale could have really worked as a ‘series’ wrap-up, but season three really took that idea to task.
